Comment on the future of local High Streets!

We are keen to understand what Local High Streets might look in the future, as are many other local and national organisations. 

We have added a couple of documents and links over the next couple of pages which you may be interested in. You can also add your own ideas and tell us what you think of these ideas.

We will add to this 'library' over time. 

One of our city research centres has some suggestions. The report below highlights that there is an opportunity to re-visit our thinking of the city and its local high streets in a novel way. It invites us to consider trends around Place for all, healthy/sanative streets, hybrid hubs and authentic living.  Worth a read!

National organisation Power To Change also thinks a new vision for our high streets is urgently needed. In their report they argue that understanding the needs of local communities, giving them greater power and ownership, and enabling diversification of our high streets is essential to their survival.
