News on Newcastle High Streets

First of all a big thank you for your comments and ideas. The site will stay open until mid October and you can make multiple comments on as many locations as you’d like. There may be places you love in the East and others not so much – please tell us about them and also we want to know if anything is missing on our high streets that could make them more inclusive, healthy and vibrant.

You may not know but you can leave voice messages here and also add any documents or of photos of high streets you find particularly inspiring.

We’re about to start a more targeted project promotion amongst local businesses and retailers in the East end to spread the word about our business support offer and how to join our Green Streets pilot.

Last but not least, we have teamed up with Red Beard Tours to deliver some insightful walking tours around the east end of Newcastle.

Come and join us for a free and interactive tour around Newcastle’s East End on Wednesday 14th September & Saturday 17th September 2022, and help us shape the future of your local high streets.

Tours start at 10am and if this is not enough to tempt you, a delicious brunch will be waiting for you at the end of the tour around noon!
